Just a quick post today, I recently finished an ADC from the Perry's range FN51 Support Staff. ADC's were not only messangers for the generals but they were also expected to take over for any general injured or killed in battle. Most ADC's in the french army were accomplished generals themselves , unlike other ADC's in opposing armies who were put in that position by calling in favours or being very wealthy since it was considered a cushy job for the rich and well connected, Gentleman in their language.
I made him an ADC to Marshall and you can tell that by the white armband around his arm of course. The other two colours for ADC's are red and blue, the red is a ADC for a general de division, and the blue is for a general de brigade.
