Hi folks, I just posted a couple of W.I.P.(works in progress), for your viewing. I thought I would show you how the figure comes along in the different stages. There is really no ryime or reason in the way I paint, I just select the areas by which area catchs my sight at the time. I hope you enjoy it.
As you can see in the first few shots, the base green of the uniform is brought out by the shade colour, which brings out the highlighted areas by making you think that they are raised higher tham they actually are.
In the final few shots, we see the raised areas highlighted by a very light green colour, it really brings out the raised areas. The hard part is to find the right balance between shading, highlighting and enough of a base colour to make it look just right.
